Slightly more useful, these snowballs will shatter on impact and damage whatever the shards hit.

Mandragora

You'd think that Nathan would be quite the ladies' man, given his ability to conjure up roses at will, but no, he throws them at enemies. What a dorkwad.

Golem
MP: 30/use
All of these attacks suck, and all of a sudden you can summon spears to strike from the bottom of the screen? AWESOME.

Cockatrice
MP: 60/use
Calls a meteor shower to rain (slowly) upon baddies.

Manticore
MP: 10/use
Creates a bit of wafting poison dusts that floats through the air.

Griffon
MP: 60/use
Sends out a small tornado that will shoots wind bullets left and right until it disappears.

Thunderbird
MP: 80/use
A lightning ball that will hunt down enemies and inflict damage on it repeatedly.

Unicorn
MP: 80/use
Not quite as cool as the spears, but this'll cause arrows to rain from the heavens.

Black Dog
MP: 120/use
Creates a dark vortex that will float around the screen. You can even create more than one, if you want.

Immunity/healing from fire

MP: 3/time
Immunity/healing from ice. Really useful in the waterway.

Mandragora
MP: 3/time
Immunity/healing from plants.

Golem
MP: 3/time
Immunity/healing from earth.

Immunity/healing from stone.

Manticore
MP: 3/time
Immunity/healing from poison.

Griffon
MP: 3/time
Immunity/healing from wind.

Thunderbird
MP: 3/time
Immunity/healing from lightning.

Immunity/healing from holy attacks.

Summons a Salamander (you know, fire lizard dragon thing) to rain fire.

Summons a Serpent to do ice damage to everything on the screen.

Calls a mandragora root to shriek and cause plant-element damage to everything.

Golem
MP: 100/use
Summons a golem to shower rocks on the screen.

Cockatrice
MP: 200/use
Apparently some cultures thought a monster comprised primarily of a chicken was a fearful being. They were so wrong. This'll also turn enemies to stone.

Manticore
MP: 80/use
Causes poisonous rains. Remember kids, CFCs are bad

Griffon
MP: 100/use
Summons a griffon to attack with blades.

Thunderbird
MP: 200/use
The strongest summon in the game that will cause a massive thunderstorm.

Unicorn
MP: 100/use
Mr. Friendly Unicorn will heal you. A lot.

Black Dog
MP: 100/use
For something so ferocious, the Black Dog that is summon is pretty dorky. It simply moves from one side of the screen to the other drain enemies' HP to give to Nathan.

Saturn

Salamander
MP: 4/shot
The bat familiar will shoot fireballs.

Serpent
MP: 4/shot
The ice ghost will float around the screen until it finds an enemy, then freezes it.

Mandragora
MP: 4/shot
This falcon shoots little pellets whenever you attack.

Golem
MP: 4/shot
The hawk is much cooler - it'll dash around the screen and smash into baddies.

Cockatrice
MP: 6/shot
The medusa head will shoot out stones when you whip, that will, yes, turn bad guys to stone.

Manticore
MP: 8/shot
More poison mist to float around and attack enemies.

Griffon
MP: 8/shot
This little fairy will also attack whenever you attack.

Thunderbird
MP: 16/shot
The thunderbird will fly around the screen and emits a massive zap when it comes across an enemy.

Unicorn
MP: 32/shot
A little angel will shoot arrows when you attack.

Black Dog
MP: 4/shot
One of the only really cool familiars, the devil will charge up his shot when you hold the attack button. When you let go, it will unleash a very powerful beam based on long you charged.

Pluto

Salamander
MP: 4/use
You can now use Dracula X-style item crashes. Pictured is the cross attack.

Serpent
MP: 4/use
Throws two subweapons at once. Will use up the same number of hearts, except for the cross and stopwatch.

Mandragora
MP: 4/time
Gives you 20% more experience for every enemy killed.

Golem
MP: 8/time
If you haven't played Ninja Gaiden 2 - well, get out of here, you nerd! Otherwise, these shadows will seem very familiar to you.

Cockatrice
MP: 6/time
Increases your defense based on total clock time.

Manticore
MP: 5/use
Subweapons will use MP instead of hearts.

Griffon
MP: 4/time
Run REALLY fast. Especially useful for exploring the castle in the later stages.

Thunderbird
MP: 4/time
Increases your strength based on total clock time.

Unicorn
MP: 20/time
You are totally invincible, though you cannot attack.

Black Dog
MP: 5/time
Turns Nathan into a skeleton that can throw bones. His Big Bone attack is one of the most powerful in the game, but one hit from anything will kill you. If you wear the Bear Ring and use this, you'll turn into a hidden bear character from the Konami N64 games Rakuga Kids.
