As Soma, you must navigate the caste's labyrinths while confronting perilous monsters at every turn. But beware, you must escape before evil consumes you! (This is from the game intro) The year is 2035. Japan. Crowds of spectators are gathering around in anticipation of the first full solar eclipse of the twenty-first century. My name is Soma Cruz, and I am a high school exchange student studying abroad in Japan. I live near the Hakuba Shrine, an ancient shrine with strong ties to Japanese mythology. Mina Hakuba, the only daughter of the shrine's caretaker, is both my classmate and my choldhood friend. I started making my way to the shrine to see the solar eclipse with Mina. But for some strange reason, the stairway leading up to the shrine felt longer than usual, as if something was trying to keep us from our destination. Genya is in the distance. After talking, enemies magicly appear. A skeleton slays Mina and Genya summons a magic spell to kill them. Then Soma uses his fireball attack to kill the last remaining enemy. You just obtained his soul. You are now able to move freely. Now is the time to get used to jumping, firing your weapon, ect. Once you feel comfterable, go right into the castle. You may also want to hit pause and get to know your menu. Right away you will be faced to fight zombies. They will keep appearing after you kill them, but you can still get some good experience from them. Once you obtain his soul be sure to go into your menu to the Soul Set selectiona and go down to the yellow orb. Select that soul to it and exit out. Continue right to the next room. Here you will be attacked by 2 bats. The best stradigy to kill them is to stand on the left staircase and let them fly to you. Once they are close enough stab them and they will die. If your lucky they will give you their red soul, which you would equip with the red orb in the soul set selection in your menu. Then go and pick up the sword. This will increase your attack by 5 once you go into your menu and choose equip, then in the top slot select your sword you just obtained. Then go down and to the right to get an ability called Grave Keeper. With this you can backdash by pressing L. You can toggle this ability on and off by going into your menu and selecting ability, then choose Grave Keeper and it will go off. By default it is turned on. Once it is obtained you may fight the mermen which will give you a red soul, or go right into the save point. Once you saved go out of the save point area and go up. If you remember you saw a cape when you first entered this room, so go left and pick up this accessory which will increase your defence by one. To equip it go into your menu and go to equip/accessory. Now go right to the next room. You will fight some skeletons which will give you a red soul. Go right to the next room and you will face an axe knight. It will take a few hits to kill so be sure to duck when he throws it high and jump over it when he throws his axe low. I hope you leveled up at least once because you are about to face a boss. If you didn't level up at least once continue to fight the axe knights and if you run low on HP go back to the save point, but if you feel like you will win the fight go right into the blue gate which contains your first boss! /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<=====| Boss: Creaking Skull |====>--------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty: **/***** He isn't that difficult if you keep your distance. You will find him crawling on the ground. Equip the skeleton's soul and throw bones at him while keeping your distance. When he lifts his arm back backdash by pressing L to avoid some major damage. Once he attacked continue throwing bones at him until he dies. He will also shoot a fireball at you. This one is easier to dodge because you just have to jump over it. After hitting him a few times he will die, just remember to keep your distance and try not to hit him with your normal weapon. Once you beat him remember to get the magical ball that he drops and go right. In here go right to where you see the map. Pick it up and then go right into the next room which is a save point. Once you save go back out and down. Defeat the bats and eye and then shoot the left wall which will reviel a secret room! Go inside to pick up an item that will refill your MP when you need it in battle. Go out of this room and go right to the next room. Swim all the way right until you get to the dead end, which you will find your first blue soul. In your menu go to Soul Set/Blue Soul and equip it. You can now glide through the air with this. Go back to the save point and save, but this time when you come out go up. Beware of the lion wheel that will fall from above about half way through. At the top you will need to hold down R to glide across to the next platform. Go right to the next room. In here you will see a bone snake and a potion. I would fight the snake from behind since the head is the only part of his body that will harm you. Just beware after you hit him he will go right. He is strong so only fight him if you want to, then go right to the next room. In here go right and then up the stairs. Glide over to pick up the armor then go follow the stairs left to pick up the potion. Then go up and right to the next room. In here follow the path up and glide to get a potion, then continue down and right until you get to the next room. There will be a bone snake in here that will spit fire at you, so beware. Pick up the accessory to raise your defence up by one and go out. Follow the path back left again in this room and go left again to the next room. Defeat the bone archor and axe armor in here and go left again. In here go down and right to the next room. Go all the way right to the next room. Kill or avoid the 2 skeletons and eye and go right again. Beware of the zombies in this long hallway and progress right again to the next room. There isn't much you can do in this room so go right again. In the next long hallway your will encounter a rock enemy, just be sure to keep your distance from him when when he is throwing his rock, then continue right to the next room. In here they will taunt you with a sword that you can't get, so go right to the next room (don't fall down!) which is a save point finally! Now exit the save point and fall down and then go left to the next room. Break the vase in here to reviel $50 and then continue down until you can go right to a new room. In here pick up the potion and then go back out. Now continue heading left until you get to a dead end. Pick up the $500 and then go all the way back to the save point. Once there go down and this time go right which you will get into a conversation with Graham about what happened in 1999. Head right until you get to the new area. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 2: Chapel | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Get to the Study | |-----------------------| | Boss: | | | | Manticore | |_______________________| First go up the staircase to the next room. Outside now go left and pick up the 100 gold and then go right. Kill the axe armor and then continue right until your reached a dead end. Now go up and kill the bone towers, then keep going up. Jump across the 2 bells and head up until you get the MP potion. Now drop all the way down and go down the stairs to the next room. In here go right until you reach the next room. Don't go down the stair case, but instead jump on the statues which are bended in with the background until you reach a staircase which u can go up, then go up it. Go right and up and jump on the bone tower, then jump up to get a new sword. Equip it then go back down to the previous room you were just in. Follow the stairs down all the way on the right and go down to the next room. In here go left to the save point. Exit the save point and go down and left to the next room. In here throw bones at the plants or whatever you have equiped to throw down at the plants. Kill all of the enemies until you get to the next boss room. Now's the time to level up if you need to, but when your ready go left to the blue boss doors! /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<=====| Boss: Manticore |=====>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty: **/***** The first time I fought him I beat him just by swinging my sword at him without moving at level 5 and had 34 HP left over. I advise that you don't do that, but it works. You'll want to use the same tactics as the last boss, when he moves his tail quickly backdash to avoid getting poisoned. He will also shoot fireballs out of his mouth. The platforms are almost useless unless you want to throw something at him. Once you beat him pick up the orb and go left to the next room. Once you kill him go right and up (Don't exit the room!) and go right to the next room. Inside will be a white cloth which will bring your intelegence up. Now go all the way back to the save point then come back to this room again. Once back inside go all the way left and down. Go right to the next room and this will take you to a new section of the castle. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 3: Study | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Get the double jump | | ability | |-----------------------| | Boss: | | | | Great Armor | |_______________________| As soon as you enter you may do a side quest for a slightly better weapon: *Side Quest* Go right to the next room. Then go right, down, left, and left again to get the new sword. It's not much better, but at least you have some map coverage. Now back track to the room where you started from. In here drop all the way down to the next room. Go left and pick up yellow bottle and then head right to the next room. You can push that crate but it is useless now since you still can't jump up to the higher platform. So go down and left. Keep your distance when fighting all of the enemies in here so you don't get poisoned or cursed. Kill the bull if you have enough HP and then go left and down to the next room. In here go left and you will reach a save point. Exit the save point and then go right to the next room where you will meet Yoko Belnades, which her last name should sound fimiliar to the old Castlevania fans. After the conversation go right and be careful because there are some strong enemies in here such as the minotaur. Go right out of this room and continue going right until you get to the room with $100. Then go left 1 room and drop down the left side which will take you to the next boss. Remember if your not strong enough you can go back and level up, but if you are ready go inside. /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<======| Boss: Great Armor |=====>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty: ***/***** Finally the boss's get alot tougher. His only weak spot is his head. When he stops moving he is about to attack you with his sword. You want to have a weapon that will go into the air when you use it while you remain on the ground, such as the skeleton soul. There is however a cheap way to beat him if you have some free time on your hands, drag him all the way to the one side of the room and then use the soul that will fire 2 white mists at him. Continue doing this while standing at the door and he won't be able to hurt you. Once your MP is drained use a red potion to regain it, or wait a few minutes for it to come back. Rince and reuse until he is dead. Get his orb and go left to talk to Hammer. After your done go left and obtain a new ability, double jump! Now you can jump twice in the air! Now backtrack all the way to the room with the crate that you can push. Push the crate left first so it will fall to the bottom of the room. Pick up the new sword then exit and enter this room again to reset the crate. Once you enter again push the crate right. Go up there and get a necklace which will raise your luck up. Then go down to the next room and then left again. Continue to backtrack to the previous stage. In here go up and this time go left to the section you couldn't explore before. Carefully travel up this room and go right to the next room. Go right again to the next room. Kill the bone snake and go up the staircase and keep going up until you can go left into a room. Get the item in here and then go back out and up to the next room on the left. You just activated a warp!!! You are now back at the begining of the castle. Go right and then continue going upward. If you are low on health go to the save point first then return here. When you get to the right column go down and pick up the brass knuckles, you can attack alot quicker with them. Then go all the way down to the enterance of the castle (You will need to press down and A to go down platforms, the enterance of the caslte is where you began your quest) You can talk to Mina there if you would like and Hammer is there selling items. Take your time when buying or selling items. Then head right to the very first save point you accessed. Exit the save point and go up and right. Go right until you get to the room just before you fought your first boss. Travel up and when you can go to the left tower drop down and get a javalin. Then go back to the right tower and continue going up until you get to the door to the next section and go through. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 4: Dance Hall | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Get the slide | | ability | |-----------------------| | Boss: | | | | Big Golem | |_______________________| Once here go left and you will meet J. After you talk to him go left to the next room and then go all the way up to the next room. In here go right and there will be a save point. Exit the save point and go down. Now go right from here. In this room just stay near the top and avoid the dancers and go left to the next room. Continue going left for the next 2 rooms. In here go down and then right and activate the warp point. Don't warp anywhere and walkj back out and up the stairs to the room to the right. Avoid the jumping snakes go right again to the next room. Now go all the way down and go right to the next screen. Once in here drop down to the next place. Go all the way down here and drop into the next room. In here kill the enemies if you would like and then go right to the next screen. In here go all the way down to the bottom and go right into the room with a save point. Go back out then and you can go to the next boss if you would like, or level up if your not ready. /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<======| Boss: Big Golem |======>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty: ***/***** He isn't that bad if you carefully fight him. In the begining use your long distance souls so you won't get touched. Once your MP is drained run up to his foot, duck and start attacking. If you see his back foot comming at you run backwards and wait for him to stop before attacking again. If he moves away from you run up to him and then repeat the process. Eventually he will spit rocks at you. If your in the correct possition you can really take off his HP when ducking and attacking at his foot. If you do this correctly he shouldn't even touch you, but if he does he will do quite a bit of damage. Overall it shouldn't be as bad as the last boss and once you beat him remember to pick up his orb and then go left to the next room. In here be sure to pick up the new ability which will allow you to slide by pressing Down and A! Now go back to the save point and head all the way back up to the huge room with the dancers. Then go all the way up and make your way to the nearby save point and save. From here go left and follow it by going left, up, right, and then up. In here go in the left and right rooms to pick up some gold. Then in this room make the bull come at you (Your standing to the right of him) and then jump on his back and up to the right platform. Go up and kill a few of the bone towers and then jump on top of them and get the huge potion. Now go back to the save point again, save and then exit. Now go down and this time go right. Slide under the one wall and then go to right to the next stage. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 5: Inner Quarters | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Get the walk on water | | soul | |-----------------------| | Boss: | | | | Headhunter | |_______________________| Once here go up to the top. To get the red potion jump to the right side of the top, then jump left and then jump again while gliding to get the potion. Then go right to the next room. Go all the way to the top of this room and then go left to access the next save point. Go back out of the save point and go right to the next room. There now you can go fight the next boss if you would like, or you can go back to level up. If you are ready to fight the boss go right and enter the blue room! /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<======| Boss: Headhunter |======>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty: *****/***** The first part isn't so bad. When her head attaches to her body you want to remain as close to her as possible and attack. You may get hurt by her a few times but don't go backwards. What you want to do is to push her all the way to the right wall. Once she is there you can attack her repeatidly and she can't move or attack you! It's too bad this is the easy part. Once she is dead a man will take her body and now fly above you. Also be sure to duck when you are attacking her. For the 2nd form you want to equip the skeleton soul and attack from the ground. Jump over the fire attacks and go inbetween the orbs to dodge the lightning attacks. If you get the chance to, attack him with your sword on the floating flatforms. Don't be afraid to use a HP or MP potion, but only use one of each if any. Once you beat him its not over yet! There is still 1 more form left. The last form he will turn into a lizard. What you want to do is wait for him to come to you. When he is on the roof don't stand directly below him. Wait for him to fall and then then attack him while ducking. If you have any MP left be sure to use it. The best time to attack him is when your ducking and he sticks out his toung. Beat him, pick up the orb, then go back and save. Now go back to the boss room again and go right this time to the next room. Once in here go up right away (It's hidden with your health) so you are now outside the castle. Slowly kill all of the enemies out here because if you don't they will haunt you the whole way up. Once at the top of here go left and pick up the sword and then go right to pick up a new yellow soul to let you walk on water!!! Now go all the way back to the room where you fought the very first boss. From here go right one room and then down. Then go left to the next room and swim all the way to where you can go up. Go right without falling down and go right to the next screen which will now warp you into the sky. Go right to the next tower, fighting the enemies you want. Again you can explore this new tower or just go right to the next tower. In here go right and when you can drop down do so. Then go left to gain access to another save point. Exit the save point, go back up, and this time go right. After your done talking go left to the next room. Follow the tower down to the next screen. In here go down and to the right to the next room. Go up and you will encounter a previous boss that you fought. After you beat him go up right to the next room. In here go all the way up and to the save point on the right. You can now either level up some more or go to the left to fight the next boss. /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<=====| Boss: Death |=====>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty: ****/***** It wouldn't be a Castlevania game without Death, Dracula's close aside. For his first form you have to defeat his Scythe. He will fire little syphes at you, simply dodge them. He will do some major damage if you get hit by anything so be careful. His second form isn't so bad as long as you are ready for any move. When he is on the ground jump over him and always duck while attacking him. If he throws his Scythe be ready to jump over it before you see it on the screen because it comes fast. Once you beat him you will obtain his blue soul which fires Scythes in all directions. After you beat him go right and get the new ability which will allow you to now go into the water! Backtrack to the room where you last met Yoko. To the left of there was a place where you could sink in the water, go down there and go left first to the next room. In here go down and left to the next room. In here dodge the spikes by manuvering around them and sliding and go right to the next room. Go down and left to the next room. In here you will find some new cloths to really boost up your defense. (Press down and A to drop off of the boxes) Then backtrack until you have an intersection that you can go right on. Go in here and swing all the way right until you get the new sword. Go back and then go up to the spot where you first came in at. You can go back to save it or this time progress right to the next room. Keep going down until you reach an intersection. Go right and you will reach a warp point. Warp to the farthest left warp point. You can buy/sell items from Hammer or go right to the first save point. Exit there and it's time to go to the next stage by going all the way left. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 8: Underground | | Reservoir | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Navigate to the | | Underground Cemetery | |_______________________| Go down and get the necklace, then go right to the next room. Make sure the soul to make you sink in water is equipped and go all the way right and then go down to the next room. You can go left for a sword which isn't good, so I suggest going right to the next screen. In here go right again to the next screen. In here there is an HP potion to the right of the bone tower. Keep going right until you have to go down all the way to the bottom and then go right into another save point. Exit there and go left to the next room. In here you will encounter a boss you beat before, so kill him and go left to the next room. Now go down and right to the next stage. Continue right until you get to the floating platforms. Go right on one and then jump to the one that will take you up. Then go left and you will gain access to another warp point. Don't warp anywhere and exit this room and go all the way to the bottom and go left to the next screen. Go all the way left until you reach the next cut scene. Here Yoko just got stabbed by Graham! Soon Genya comes in from behind to find her dead. Go right (not left!) to the next room and then go down and right to the next stage. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 9: Underground | | Cemetery | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Get the new ability | |-----------------------| | Boss: | | | | Legion | |_______________________| In here go right, and be sure to slide under the large red enemy if you are low on HP. Keep going right until you can go up. When you can go up, go to the top and the right room will have a save point! Exit the save point and go left, killing all of the enemies in this room. There will be a money bag at the end of this room. Keep getting experience and going back to the save point to heal until you think you are ready for the next boss. When you are, exit the save point and go down. Then go right and there will be the next boss. /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<=====| Boss: Legion |======>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty: ***/***** Remember all of those people walking around back there that couldn't hurt you? Well if you haven't guessed it this is your boss! Oh, and now they can hurt you. You want to either attack him and run clockwise or counterclockwise around the room attacking him. When your going up or down the steps is when you want to use your soul attacks, you should use an attack that can attack both above and below you. Beware when attacking on the steps though, because enemies can fall onto those steps and catch you by surprise. Whenever you see an enemy kill him right away because if you don't he will be there for the rest of the fight. repeat this process until you get to his core. Watch out for his ray attack, once you reach his core. When you beat his core he is dead. Go back left and save. Then go back to the boss room and head right this time. When you can go up, go to the left room and get the blue potion. Then go out and now go back down and to the right to the next room. Go all the way right and get the new ability. Now go to the room where Yoko was just slain and go left from here to the next stage. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 10: The Arena | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Obtain Bat soul | |-----------------------| | Boss: | | | | Balore | |_______________________| In here go left and then go all the way up in the large room, trying to avoid the blue skeletons. Once you go up to the new room go right and you will be in another new warp point. Only warp if you are low on HP and then come back to this point. Exit the warp point room and you can do a side quest if you have enough HP. *Side Quest* You can also come back here after you get to the save point. Go left from the warp point and then go up to the next room. Then go left to the next room and keep going until you get the new sword. It's alot better than the one you have now, then go back to the warp point to continue where we left off. Now go all the way left until you can go down. Then go down to the next room and then go left to a new save point. Now go right and it's time for a challenge. I suggest going taking the elevator down one level. In here dodge the medusa heads the best you can, and when you see the red switch inbetween the spikes jump on it. This will reverse the spin of the platforms. Avoid the big blue guy and slide under the wall and then go right to the next screen. In here get the new sword which will increase your attack by alot. Slide under the spike chain and make your way back to the save point. Don't be afraid to use 1 potion, but don't use any more than that. Come out of the save point and this time don't take the elevator anywhere and just go straight across. The begining is the only tough part of this room. Take out both devils and then jump over the statues feet and hands in the background. Take out each of the devils one at a time and you shouldn't have a problem dodging their attacks. When you get to the chain ball at the end face the wall and use your sword on it. Keep hitting the ball then it is comming at you and build momentum to ram it into the wall. Go inside and get the new clothes and then go back to the save point. Make sure you kill the devils one at a time when you exit, because you won't make it if you try to gun it! Now take the elevator down to the lowest floor and go right for the last challenge. This one is the easiest one, simply get on the floating platform and ride it until it gets to the first column. A red dot will appear on it. If you examin it closly you will see that it looks like a D-Pad. Simply tap the D-pad in the direction that the red dot is in. Don't mess up or you'll be thrown into the blue skeletons who won't like your visit. Here is the order that the columns light up in: Column 1: Left, Right Column 2: Up, Down Column 3: Left, Down, Up Column 4: Up, Up, Down Column 5: Up, Left, Down, Up Awww, Konami I'm dissapointed. You should have put in the classic Konami code for this section! (Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start for those who didn't know it, shame on you!) Anyway once you complete all 5 columns the wall will open up and you can get a new ring which increases your luck. Get out the fun way (Dodging the enemies) and save. Level up if you need to and then it is time to face one of my favorite boss's in this game by going down the elevator and then go left. /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<=====| Boss: Balore |======>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty: *****/***** Actually its the Vampire Bat, but he gets squashed. The boss's weak spot is his eye to aim for that. This guy is very strong so you want to avoid his hands the best that you can. Duck and jumping over them is the best way to avoid damage. Try not to get too far away from his eye because you will take alot of damage trying to get back. His second form isn't as bad. His left eye will open and you will simply have to jump over the first he summons while attacking that eye. After you beat him go left to the next room and get the new blue soul which will allow you to morph into a bat!!! Walk back into the boss room and you will talk with J. Go back to the save point and from here equip the bat and go up 2 rooms. Explore the 2 small rooms here which have $1,000 and a cape and then go back to the save point and save. Now go to the warp point and warp all the way to the far left warp. You can stock up on items and then go right to your first save point. Then make your way to the 2nd save point and then go up to the next room. Go right again to the next room. Now go up and fly to the grey spot that you missed before. In here go right and then up to the next room. Then go up again to the next room. Finally go left and you will activate another warp point. Don't warp anywhere and go down and right. Keep going right until you get to the new stage. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 11: Top Floor | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Become Dracula | |-----------------------| | Boss: | | | | Graham/Julius | |_______________________| In here go left and then fly up the gap in the roof. Go right then to the next room. Follow this room until you can go right again to the next room. Go right in here again and then pick up the potion in the next room. Go back and this time go up the stairs and then go right to activate another warp point. You can go and heal by warping somewhere and then come back to this spot. Exit the warp point and then go up to the top and then go left to the next room. In here go up to the next room. Follow this room up and then go up to the next room. In here go past the first intersection and at the 2nd go right to go into a new save point. Exit the save point and go down and left to the next room. In here do down to where the Red Minotaur is and press down and A to drop to the bottom of this room. Go left until you can go down to the next room. In here jump past the Iron Golem (Unless you want to use the killer mantle red soul to kill him in about 1 shot) and break the wall to the right. Inside you will find the Hippogryph which will allow you to do a high jump by pressing L in the air. You can then go back to the save point. Believe it or not, you are about to face the next boss. You can go around and explore some more and gain more experience, or if your ready go out of the save point and then go all the way up to the top and wait for the knight to lift up his sword and let you through. Go left and this scene should look quite well. Enter the door and it's time for the fight! /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<=====| Boss: Graham |=====>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty: ***/***** After you talk to him he will fight you. His attacks are the exact same as Dracula's. Simply jump over his fireballs and black fireball. His weak spot is his face. Once his first form is almost dead he will fire black fireballs in a spiral. Continue to hit him to make him morph into his Omega Graham form. For his second form dodge his hands that will swing at you from the left to the right. Also beware of his lightning that he will fire from the top. He also will close both hands at once. If you watch his hands closely a spark of lightning will come out just before he swings at you. Attack Graham in the middle until he dies and then you will get the OK ending. ------------------------------( Better Ending )-------------------------------- I know that ending was bad. So If you want the good ending you will need to solve the puzzle of the antient books. Look at your enemy list and see which ones match. If your too lazy to do that, then it is the Flame Demon for the red soul, Giant Bat for the second, and Succubus for the third. Then go back and fight Graham again and beat him. Then you will talk with Genya Arikado and he will tell you that your evil must be stopped. Go left to the next room and pick up Dracula's tunic and the Black Panther blue soul and then head all the way back to the Garden. Remember that black door that you couldn't get past before in the sky? (It's below the save point) Well you will need to go there and inside that room. You will find that the black cloud is now gone. Inside Julius will feel the need to kill you. /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<=====| Boss: Julius Belmont|======>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ Difficulty ****/***** He can be one tough cookie. You should notice a few familiar Castlevania songs in the background. Anyway This is one typical Belmont, he will whip, slide, and dodge any time you try to attack. Use your souls to attack when possible and try to swing at him when he is in the air or when you can duck on the ground. After a few minutes he will use his sub weapons. When you see the huge holy cross come up slide in the opposite direction as him. Other than that use the same tactics as above to avoid him. If you played just about any Castlevania game in the past you will know what sub weapons he has and how to dodge them. He has them all so beware. Don't be afraid to use potions to heal yourself. Defeat him to open the portal to the left. Here is a useful tactic from Happy lackey "I simply go into battle having a couple of mind potions or mana prisms and use death's scythe ability. All you need to do is simply activate the scythes and avoid J by leaping over his head or backward. Sometimes when he gets close, 4 or more scythes will hit him at once taking upwards of 60 hp a hit. I also recommend being at level 40 at the very least and also using the headhunter ability in conjunction with the scythe ability." ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 12: Chaotic Realm | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Beat the game! | |-----------------------| | Boss: | | | | Chaos | |_______________________| Once in here go left and save. Go back out and go up and in the first room to the left there will be a Mana Prism. Pick it up and go out and up to the top of this room and go left. Continue to go left until you can go down. Then go down and to the left. Then go down and right twice and then in the room to the left will be a save point. Save and then go back out and down to the room on the left. In here go down to the next room. Continue going right until you can go up. Go up and then right to the next room. Then go up and left to a new room. Swim up and go right to the next room to get the Mind high potion and then go left. Go all the way left and then go all the way down and right to the next room. In here go right and then up to the next room. Follow it left and up until you get to the boss door. Go right here to save first, then go out and enter the final, true boss room... /\ /\ /\ / \ /\ /\ /\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ \/\ ---------------------<======| Final Boss: Chaos |======>---------------------- \/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/\ /\/ \/ \/ \ / \/ \/ \/ After you are drained from Dracula's 3 souls, you will fight Chaos. For the first part attack each soul at a time. Don't attack all 3 at once. Once one is dead you can focus on the other 2. The first form isn't that tough, but now it's time for the 2nd form. He will summon a huge snake. Your goal is to attack the black core as many times as you can. Try your best to avoid the snake when it comes at you. When he fires the green things from the middle duck and you should dodge them. Once Chaos is dead sit back and enjoy the good ending. You deserve it. Congradulations!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | Stage 13: Forbiden Area | |___________________________| \ / |-----------------------| | Mission: | | | | Explore the stage | |_______________________| This is more less a side quest so you don't have to do this stage, however it does contain some good weapons and you do have to explore it if you want 100% of you map complete. Go to the Underground Reservoir and go right until you get to the Waterfall. Equip the Undine soul to be able to walk on water, then equip the Curly, Devil or Manticore blue soul and go right to the next screen. In here continue right until you get to the next room. Once here continue going as far up as you can and press the red yellow button to allow access to the Study. Then go back down as far as you can and this time go right. Kill or avoid the Alura Une depending on your level and continue going right and down to the next screen. Go right to the pirate ship and equip the Skula soul to walk in the water. Go to the bottom left part of this room and break a wall to reviel a hidden room. Go inside and obtain the item and then go back out. Now go all the way right inside the pirate ship and right to the next room. Then drop all the way down and go left to the next room. Answer: Yes, especially since solar eclipses happen very, very rarely. Question: What do the hearts do? There aren't any sub-weapons in this game! Answer: They replenish some MP. Question: Is Dracula in this game, rumor had it he wasn't. Answer: Well I guess you'll just have to beat it to find out! Question: Is there a way to change the timeline of events? Answer: Yes! Lord Decay pointed out to me that you can become Dracula before you talk to Julius for the first time. Special thanks go to Lord Decay for finding this. THE FOLLOWING IS FROM REDRUM: Question: Is there an easy way to level up? Answer: Go to the sunken ship in the forbidden area and hit the treasure chest full of rippers (igors) with the biphron flame. You go up 1000+ exp points (even more with the erynis soul equipped) in about 5 seconds. THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ARE FROM QUEST64FREAK: (AKA SHPAZA) Question: What are the items that appear in hard mode only, and where are they? Answer: Death's Sickle- In the room right before Death, in the upper right corner. You'll need the Giant Bat soul to get it. Death's Robe- A few room before where you got Death's Sickle. You can't miss it. Once again, you'll need the Giant Bat soul. Silver Handgun- In the same room as the Balmung, after one of the challenges in The Arena. Tear of Blood- In the upper right corner of the room before Graham. Question: How do I get past the waterfall to get to the Forbidden Area? Answer: To get into the Forbidden Area, you must have the Undine soul and either the Curly, Devil or Manticore set. Stand to the far left(under the picture carved on the wall) and use whatever soul you equipped. You should go straight through the waterfall. If you don't make it, you weren't far enough to the left. Question: How do I get past the rabbit with the watch? Answer: You won't be able to get past the rabbit(Chronomage) until you have the Galamoth Soul. You won't get the Galamoth Soul until near the end of the game, so don't worry about it for now. If you want his soul, just get close and wait for a "?" to appear over his head. Shortly after it appears, you will be able to damage him. Question: How do I catch the Skyfish? Answer: To catch the Skyfish, you must first have the Chronomage soul(look above to see how to get it.) Find an area where you see a white sparkling thing fly across the top of the screen. One area is where you get to fight the Big Golem again, and the long hallway full of Tritons. Stop time(using the Chronomage soul) as soon as it appears on screen and kill it. It still moves fairly fast even with time being stopped, so you'll want to get it as early as possible. Question: What is "Boss Rush?" What is it for? Answer: Boss Rush is an extra feature you unlock after getting the "good ending." You start with the first boss in the Game(Creaking Skull) and work your way through all the bosses. Boss Rush is the only way to get three of the weapons in the game. To get them, you must complete Boss Rush in under 6 minutes(Excalibur,) 5 minutes(Positron Rifle,) and 4 minutes(Valmanway.) Question: How do I get the "good ending?" Answer: For the good ending, you must have 3 specific souls equipped from the beginning to the end of the fight with Graham. These souls are Flame Demon(easiest to get in the room around the Legion boss fight,) Giant Bat(You'll get it for free right after the fight with Balore,) and Succubus(in The Arena or Top Area.) Once you beat him with those three souls, you'll be able to continue playing the game even after you beat him. Now go back to the "black wall" in the section where you warp from one room to another. In there, you will fight Julius. After you defeat him, you will have access to the Realm \of Chaos. Make your way through there, and fight Chaos. After you win, you'll have access to Hard Mode, New Game+, and Julius. Question: How does the Headhunter soul work? Answer: The Headhunter soul gives you +1 to STR, DEF and INT for every 16 souls you collect. It does not have to be equipped for it to gain strength. It maxes out at +33 to stats. Question: What is the Chaos Ring? What does it do? Answer: The Chaos Ring is an accessory you can only get once you have 100% of the souls. Once you get all the souls, go the the Chaotic Realm. Once you get to a room the looks like the room before Death(there will be a Lubicant and an Erinys) go through the upper-left exit. You should see the Chaos Ring on the ground. This gives you infinite MP, and is almost the only way to get the Valmanway in Boss Rush mode. Question: Do I have another chance to get (insert boss here)'s soul? Answer: Any boss that only appears once in the game, you will ALWAYS get their soul(Headhunter, Death, and Balore.) Bosses that you can find as normal enemies later in the game have a fairly good chance of giving it to you the first time, but when you fight them as normal enemies their souls are a bit harder to get(Creaking Skull, Manticore, Great Armor, Big Golem.) The ONLY exception to this rule is the Legion boss. To get it's soul, you must first destroy it's four outer shells before you take out its core.
